PATCHES
With the many different PC configurations out there, it's hard to make a game that works on all of them. The following patches should help solve some issues in your PC games.
Universe at War: Earth Assault - PC Patch 2
The second patch for Universe at War. Contains many fixes, balancing adjustments, and other updates. Click here to download.

- This update will be applied automatically when logged in to Windows LIVE. You do not need to download and apply this patch unless you are playing offline, or if you are experiencing problems with your LIVE connection.
- You do not need to apply patch 1.0 before applying this patch.
- If you've downloaded your copy of Universe at War from a digital retailer such as Steam, Direct2Drive, or the SegaShop, you no longer have to use a separate patch - this one will work for all versions.
Universe at War: Earth Assault - PC-DVD Version Patch 1.0
This is the Day One patch for Universe at War: Earth Assault and should be used for PC-DVD copies of the game only (not compatible with digitally-downloaded versions). This patch will automatically download and install when you login to Windows LIVE®, but if you haven't done that and don't intend to play the game online, then use this patch.
Instructions:
To install the patch 1.0, click here to access the patch, and then Run the patch - it is a self-installing executable file. Follow the instructions and the patch will install itself into the correct default directory, giving you the most up-to-date version of the game.
Medieval II: Total War - Patch 1.3
The third update for Medieval II provides compatibility updates to the game for online play, and is not required for those who have purchased the Kingdoms expansion.
Please note: You must apply patch 1.2 (see below) before applying this patch.
For those who have purchased the retail DVD version of the game: (~550MB) For those who purchased the game for download:Instructions:
- Segashop (Digital River): Click here to download the patch.
- Steam: You do not need to manually download or install this patch. Steam automatically applies all game updates.
- Direct2Drive: Direct2Drive is offering a pre-patched version of the full game. If you have purchased from Direct2Drive, you may download the new version at no charge by going to direct2drive.com and viewing your account.
To install the patch 1.3, uncompress the .rar file using a utility such as WinRAR http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm , then launch the Setup application (setup.exe) in the Update 3 folder. Once you have chosen your language, the setup application will find and patch your copy of the game. Please remember that this patch will not work if you have not already applied the 1.2 patch.
Medieval II: Total War - Patch 1.2
This second update for Medieval II contains many fixes. Check out the list of fixes here here and then download a patch from one of the mirrors below.

Taito Legends (2.3MB)
This update will resolve the issue regarding the game reverting back to your Windows Desktop when you attempt to start a game. Please note that this is the only issue that is resolved with this patch, if you are not experiencing this problem you do not have to install this patch.

Rome: Total War (multiple sizes)
There are two updates available for this game--patch version 1.3 and patch version 1.5. They both include gameplay (balancing) improvements and code enhancements. Please read the instructions before proceeding.
